What if I need to transfer to another course?
While we strive to be as flexible as possible, please note that our policy requires a $325 deposit fee toward a subsequent course for students requesting a transfer to a different course with less than 30 days' notice. If applicable, this fee must be paid before any enrollment changes can be processed. This fee does not apply if notice is given within at least 30 days of the current course start date.
We simply ask that you keep this policy in mind when considering any future course changes, as the fee may apply depending on the timing of your request.
For any transfer requests, please email us at info@bensonsdriving.com.
Do you offer private lessons?
Private driving lessons are dependent on both the availability of the client and the instructor, on a case-by-case basis. Do not pay until you have been contacted by the main office and have scheduled your first drive.
Private lesson options are found on our "DRIVER EDUCATION" drop-down menu on the main page, sorted by location.
We are only able to offer daytime driving hours before 12:00 pm so as not to interfere with our full driving courses and our cost is $125 per hour.
Please note if you are in need of private driving lessons because you were required by the NH DMV after your third failed driving exam:
1.We will need the DMV letter you received requiring further driving hours, this can be emailed to info@bensonsdriving.com
2.You are not legally able to drive more than one hour per day.
3.Only closed-toe and closed-backing footwear are permitted for all driving.
4.The DMV will not schedule a consecutive road test without notification of completion from Benson's Driving School. We will provide a certificate including performance hours, dates, and times upon completion and will email a copy of this to the NH DMV Representative responsible for managing required additional hours.
Private lesson hours are not retroactive. Therefore, if you have not yet but do end up failing the DMV driving exam a third time, you will not be able to apply these hours once required. They are only applicable for the NH DMV after a third fail.
The main office will receive notification once you are registered and will reach out with driving options, if available, as soon as possible.

Can my child take class at any location?
Students are welcome to attend any course in any location. However, if attending a course outside of the region serviced, we are not able to offer pick up or drop off for driving appointments from home or school. Please confirm which demographic the area you are registering for is able to offer pick up and drop off by clicking on the "Driver Education" tab, selecting the location you are registering for to view pick up locations for that course. For students attending courses outside of their home region, we will meet at the classroom the student is enrolled in for all driving and observation appointments.

We maintain a wait list for all full online classes; however, we do not add a student to the wait list until enrollment has been confirmed and a deposit has been received.
If you are interested in joining our wait list, please email info@bensonsdriving.com if/when you have established enrollment and a deposit has been made, and we will be happy to add you to any course wait list(s) of your choice.
Please note: Being on a waitlist does not guarantee admission to a class; it only means that if a spot becomes available, we will contact you.

If you take the course and complete 30 hours of class, 10 hours of driving, 6 hours of observation, and pass the final exam, you will receive a certificate of completion.

For students still in need of driving hours after the completion of the course, please email the scheduling manager at jonbenson7258@gmail.com by each Thursday for the following week, with all availability in order to make the best effort for future scheduling.
If students are only in need of observation, you will need to reach out to the classroom instructor for observation options as they will change weekly with the schedule and the classroom instructor has the most up-to-date schedule information. We do not pick up or drop off at home for observation; students will need to meet at the classroom and will need to coordinate with a driving instructor regarding observation.

There is no automatic notification option in our online portal and certificates are not generally stored in classrooms therefore it is imperative that the main office is made aware.

If you have already established a scholarship, the student and/or guardian will need to create an account at www.bensonsdriving.com to establish enrollment. The class spot is not guaranteed until the $325 non-refundable deposit is applied but this will establish your account. Please send any certification of scholarship once approved to info@bensonsdriving asap so we can assist with any further paperwork needed on their end.

If only partial payment is made, the remaining balance is due on the first night of class.
